Engadin Ski Marathon, St Moritz, Switzerland
Q&R Events and Seventa recently headed to Switzerland for an unforgettable experience at the iconic Engadin Marathon, with Odlo proudly serving as the headline sponsor. One of the highlights of the event was the unique pop-up shop we created in St. Moritz, featuring a striking safari tent structure. This custom-built tent became a hub for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, offering Odlo's top-tier performance gear in a stunning, alpine-inspired setting.
We designed, built and alongside Seventa, branded and curated the space. every single piece of equipment was catalogued, weighed, calculated and costed in order to get the Carnet and Swiss work permits.
The whole process was delivered in a matter of weeks with a full dry run build and break rehearsal taking place at Q&R HQ to ensure a slick and efficient operation in one of Europes most high profile town centre locations.
Planted Country, Stourhead, Wiltshire
Q&R Events provided stretch tents and infrastructure for the Planted Country Design Show at National Trust Stourhead.
The Planted Country Design Show, held in 2022 & 2023, was a celebration of nature-based design and sustainability. Attendees were invited to explore innovative designs and engage in thought-provoking discussions on environmental challenges and solutions.
The outdoor showroom was designed with a simple 'less is more' ethos. A neutral blank canvas consisting of bare wooden flooring and our natural clear wooden framed sidewalls as a backdrop framework for the stands to work with.
Southampton Boat Show
For the 2024 show we delivered several structures, including the Shipyard seating area, Try a Boat tent, Kids Zone, Shipyard Bar, and an elevated Shipyard VIP deck.
The Shipyard seating was a trussed structure on 5m legs lifted with a crane in one complete piece. We use the same crane to position the bar containers, lift the mezzanine floor extensions, lift the stairs, position concrete weights and lift build components onto the upper floor.

Summer Shoot Lodge
For four months each year, this bespoke structure is transformed into the hub for shooting activities, providing participants with an unforgettable experience amidst the stunning landscape of the Fonthill Estate.
The tent is designed to accommodate large groups, ensuring a comfortable and functional space for shooters, spectators, and event organizers. Large sliding doors on the front edge allow a more alfresco experience when the weather permits.
The estate’s diverse terrain offers multiple clay shooting drives, providing both novice and experienced shooters with an engaging challenge.
Christmas in Cambridge
Q&R Events was thrilled to be tasked with designing and building the Apres Terrace with curling lanes and site infrastructure for Seventa’s Christmas event in Cambridge. In addition to crafting the curling venue, our team also built tipis, decking, festive archways, and strategic screening to enhance the overall festive atmosphere. It was a pleasure to contribute to such a magical holiday celebration, combining creativity, functionality, and holiday spirit in the heart of Cambridge!
We sent four articulated lorries plus numerous vans and trailers worth of equipment from our new warehouse facility which tested how much kit we can load in a narrow time window at our busiest time of year.

Clays Bar, Canary Wharf
We designed and built our most urban safari tent yet for Clays, a bar in Canary Wharf with a simulated clay shooting experience. Designed to be 'live' from October through until April as an extension and stand alone venue for the existing indoor space.
The self weighted, freestanding safari structure is accented with some contemporary details to suit the 'marble & glass' surroundings. Full glazed aluminium doors allow daily use with minimal maintenance.
We have good experience working in Canary Wharf on multiple projects and understand the design and logistical procedures working in these ultra urban environments.
